St. Theresa’s Campaign for a New Parish Center
Laudetur Jesus Christus!
Our campaign Alive in Christ is progressing very well. Thanks to your generosity we have been able to collect $727,000. We are happy to announce that the construction work on the parish center is advancing. The next paragraph gives a summary of that progress. Please, see our photo gallery below for the latest pictures of construction competed.
Dominion Electric has completed the first phase of the electrical power to the building. Putney Mechanical removed the old heating and air conditioning units and has replaced them with newer, more efficient units for the existing parish center. The steel for the new building has been delivered. We have purchased a narrow strip of the existing street (the abandoned end of Grove Street) which will
enhance our parking spaces. We have finally broken ground at the rear of the parish center and construction will begin after all of the soil has been removed.
We have established sub-committees (Religious Education, Hospitality, Food Pantry, and Parish Events) to assist with decision making for specific needs of the parish community.
Our improved Parish Center through Alive in Christ will allow our parish to further develop three core areas of Christian discipleship: education, community outreach and fellowship. Along with the church, the Parish Center is a focal point for the heart of St. Theresa’s numerous ministries.
We want to continue to grow our parish family and meeting the needs of our community and parishioners will ensure that we stay a vibrant parish and a beacon of faith for all.
Over the coming weeks, continue to check back here to receive key updates and further information regarding the campaign.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Stefan Migac, Pastor
